We are privileged to have three highly esteemed public figures on our Advisory Board who bring the weight of their insight, intellect and experience to support OAW to achieve its ambition:
Sir Charlie Mayfield
Sir Charlie Mayfield was the Chairman of the John Lewis Partnership from 2007 to 2020. He was President of the Employee Ownership Association for the same period. He was the Chairman of the UK Commission for Employment & Skills from 2010 to 2017, and remains Chairman of the productivity campaign organisation Be The Business. He is Chairman of QA Limited, a technology and IT skills solutions provider; and is a Trustee for the British Museum and children’s mental health charity Place2Be.


Will Hutton
Will Hutton is Chair of the Big Innovation Centre and was Principal of Hertford College, University of Oxford until 2020; former Editor in Chief of the Observer and now a columnist for the paper; governor of the London School of Economics; Visiting Professor at the University of Manchester Business School. Author of many books; delivered the Employee Ownership Association’s 2016 Robert Oakeshott Lecture.
Sacha Romanovitch
Sacha Romanovitch is the Chief Executive of Fair4AllFinance, established in 2019 in response to government’s commitment to allocate dormant assets to financial inclusion initiatives; Co-Chair of the Inclusive Economy Partnership, a government backed alliance of companies, civil society and government departments helping communities participate in tackling major societal challenges; delivered the Employee Ownership Association’s 2017 Robert Oakeshott Lecture.
